King
A complete classic card game in your pocket. Play three- or four-seat games against thoughtful computer opponents, learn the rules through guided deals, and challenge a friend to the same deals on their own device.
Coming to the App Store.
The game
King is a trick-taking game played with a 32-card deck by three or four players. A full game runs through nine contracts: seven in which you avoid taking things — tricks, hearts, queens, jacks, the last two tricks, the King of Hearts, and one that combines them all — then one in which you take everything, and a final round played with a trump suit.
Scores across a complete game sum to zero. That is a property of the game itself, and the implementation preserves it under every combination of house rules.
What it does
- Complete three- and four-seat games against computer opponents
- Computer opponents at three difficulty levels
- Thirteen guided learning deals, from the first trick to discarding
- House rules that recalculate contract values so the game still sums to zero
- Detailed scoring and game statistics
- Challenge a friend with a game code generated on your device — the same deals, played separately, compared at the end
- Deal fingerprint: a SHA-256 commitment hash is shown before each deal and the seed is revealed afterwards, so the two can be compared by hand
- Four languages: English, Russian, Turkish and Arabic, with full right-to-left layout
- No account required
- Progress stored on the device
