Common questions
- How do I start a new game?
- From the main menu choose Play against bots — or Challenge a friend. The next screen sets the number of players, opponent strength, game length and house rules; then start. Settings can be changed before each game.
- How is progress saved?
- Automatically, on your own device. A game in progress is restored when you reopen the app.
- How do challenge codes work?
- Creating a challenge produces a code you can copy and send. A friend enters it on their own device and receives the identical deals. You each play against computer opponents and compare results afterwards. No server is involved and nothing is sent to us — you pass the code along yourself.
- How do I reset my statistics?
- In settings. This clears the statistics held on your device and cannot be undone.
- Can I restore progress on another device?
- No. Because there is no account and nothing is stored on our side, progress cannot be transferred between devices.
- Does King require an account?
- No. There is no registration, sign-in or profile.
- Does King collect personal data?
- See the privacy policy for the full and current position.
- Where can I find the rules and scoring?
- The game includes thirteen guided deals that teach the rules in play, and a reference screen with all nine contracts and their values. Both are available from the main menu.
- Why did my house rule change the contract values?
- That is intentional. A full game of King sums to zero. When you change a house rule, the values are recalculated so the total still sums to zero.
